Hollywood Cookie Diet, A Healthy Weight Loss Alternative?

In todays fast paced society we have all gotten away from eating healthier and have turned to the fast food, easy way of eating. With that in mind we also look for shortcuts in our diets instead of just plain eating right. I fall short of it and so many others do also, we also look for ways to diet that will be simpler and less traditional. That why the topic for today is the “Hollywood Cookie Diet”.

While most diets require more conventional types of foods for intake, the Hollywood Cookie Diet is non-conventional in that it is more or less a dessert food. Although the common thought would be that this would not be a healthy alternative, opinions vary, and the verdict is still out.

Like most diet fads the psychological part is the most important part of any diet. If you believe in what you are doing and you regemented to the program you should reach your goals,but If you don’t have the will power to stay with any diet plan you will surely never see the results you wish to attain. The problem with most diets is you get bored with them easily or you don’t abide with the guidelines.

The Hollywood diet cookies are made up of wheat, soy, milk and eggs, among a long list of other ingredients. Meal plan consist of eating 4 cookies each day, one at breakfast, one as a mid morning snack, one for lunch, and one as a mid afternoon snack. The diet also calls for a sensible dinner meal and the provide you with recipes of nutritional dishes. Typical results are to loose 15 pounds a month and this can flucuate quite a bit according to your metabolism and following the strict guidelines. This would probably be a good diet if you wanted to loose 30 pounds or less, cause I just can’t see living mainly on cookies for longer than a couple of months. Below is a list of the nutritional facts:

150 calories
4 grams of fiber
8 grams of sugar
25 grams of carbohydrates

The thing that intrigued me about this diet is that it is somewhat healthy as far as the ingedients are concerned and from what I hear they are quite tasty. Being able to eat cookies (something we all have enjoyed sometime in our lives) and loosing weight surely makes this diet plan unique to say the least.

Diet Of The Stars, Hollywood Cookie Diet

It is safe to say if there is something new, some new fad the stars of Hollywood will be all over it. Having said that many of the stars are trying the “Hollywood Cookie Diet”. Now this is not a new diet plan, actually it has been around since  1975. In that time more than a half a million people have benefited from the Hollywood cookie diet.

Dr Seigal is the mastermind behind this wonderful formula and was originally introduced to some of his patients in Miami and for years was only available to his patients. The idea behind the diet was that if dieters were more apt to deal with cravings and something healthy, they would likely stick with the diet.

The Hollywood cookies designed to reduce hunger and control the appetite. With each cookie being only 90 calories it also contains whole wheat, bran and oats. Dr. Seigals feels one of the main reasons the cookies are so effectively are a secret blend of amino acid proteins. Some sientific basis that protein has a greater effect on appetite reduction than carbs and fats in dieting efforts.

This diet plan consist of eating 4 cookies during the day and a sensable dinner of chicken, turkey, fish, or other seafood with a cup of vegetables. Red meat is not encouraged because of high fat content. It is also important to drink at least eight glasses of water each day. Why this plan works for quick weight loss is your total calorie and carbohydrates intake is very low. Calories per day are 800 and carbs are 70 grams per day.

Now eating the same cookies would probably get old after a while so they come in three different varieties, chocolate chip, lemon, and oatmeal raisin. A  variety pack mixed with all three flavors is also available. Each box contains 12 cookies each, this would typically be a three day supply eating 4 per day. I have seen some reports saying to eat 4 per day and some eating 6 per day. I think this would really be up to you. Naturally you will loose more weight at eating 4 per day but this may be hard to do at first, cutting your food intake so drastically.

A local radio host in my area is on this diet and has reported some pretty good results, loosing 13 pounds in less than two weeks. Also he has more energy and are much more pleasant to the other hosts. Now your circumstances may vary, but usually if you start loosing weight you typically start to have more energy. I know when I have dieted in the past when I started loosing weight I felt better about myself psychologically, and part of feeling better you naturally have more energy.

In closing you should always consult your physician and make sure whatever dieting you may be doing is safe for you. Most doctors will approve any diet as long as it is not detrimental to your own health.

If you are really serious about getting rid of those unwanted pounds, you will have to consider natural weight loss as a long term proposition.

Cosmetic Surgery, Drastic But Effective?

Cellulite has become one of the most hated female conditions in recent years especially amongst those who are generally slim; it is generally found in the lower half of the body. If this is also followed by the adoption of drinking plenty of fresh water every day; unwanted toxins which can help in the formation of cellulite in the tissue are gradually removed.

The latest weapon in the fight against obesity is the Hoodia plant which has provided
remarkable results; all the signs that this is the ‘real thing’ are good. Now, many natural
